Ashdod residents,
A video has recently been circulating on social media showing a yard in which a large hole appears to have opened up, allegedly as a result of interception fragments.
After an investigation conducted with the relevant authorities, we would like to clarify that the video was not filmed in Ashdod and is not related to the incident taking place in the city. In addition, we would like to clarify that there was no incident of interception fragments falling in Ashdod.
We ask that you act responsibly, avoid spreading unverified information, and rely solely on official updates from security officials and the local authority.
In general, it is always important to check the source of information before spreading it.
Yours,
Dr. Yechiel Lasry, Mayor

Ashdod residents,
Here is a summary of this morning's assessment:
There is a gradual decrease in the number of launches towards the State of Israel in general, and towards Ashdod in particular.
However, it should be remembered that Iran still has a high capability of firing ballistic missiles, to which missile fire from Hezbollah in Lebanon has been added, and we must continue to maintain vigilance and alertness and continue to strictly adhere to the Home Front Command's instructions.
In the event of missile fire from Lebanon, there will also be no advance warning and the time available to us until entering a protected area is reduced to only one minute. This means being careful to stay closer to a protected area.
If you are caught by an alarm outside, quickly locate the nearest protected area according to the signage or by typing the words "nearby shelter" into Waze, and you will be directed to nearby protection.
Please also pay attention to the youth and young people who will strictly adhere to the instructions. Alongside our activities to disperse gatherings throughout the city, of adults in general and young people in particular.
I reiterate the request to leave the lobby doors of the building open for passersby who need shelter.
Today at noon we will hold a large-scale urban exercise to deal with the immediate phase of a heavy ballistic missile strike. There will be heavy traffic on the city roads by security and rescue forces. Please note that this is only an exercise.
We thank all the residents who came to Assuta yesterday to donate blood. The operation will continue in Assuta today and you are invited to go and donate blood, a message with all the details is attached to this message.
Education - Tomorrow and Friday there will be no regular classes. The educational teams will hold distance learning and relief operations.
A municipal hotline is at your disposal 24/7 in various languages.
A strong and united Ashdod,
Yours,
Dr. Yechiel Lasry, Mayor
