The situation assessment was held with the participation of the Minister of Defense, MK Yisrael Katz, senior officials from the Ministry of Defense and the IDF.
We presented to them the Ashdod Municipality's emergency preparedness plan, with its security, community and operational components.
From the discussion and the Minister's remarks, it became clear that the resilience of the country's residents is an extremely important component in the IDF's ability to conduct a prolonged and continuous campaign. Therefore, it is extremely important that you continue to fully adhere to the rules of defense. Beyond the contribution of defense to saving lives, you contribute to the resilience of the IDF and its ability to achieve the goals of the war.

Welfare and special populations - under the rules and guidelines, we allow special populations to reach the frameworks they are accustomed to, thus allowing them a routine, even if not optimal, that contributes to their well-being.

Studies - We are awaiting an update from the Home Front Command, which is expected to be received on Saturday night, and in accordance with what is stated therein, we will hold a thorough discussion regarding the resumption of studies. There is no decision yet on the matter, but we are making the necessary preparations if a decision is made to open the education system.
In any case, the safety of the students and teaching staff will determine the outline.
